WALTER BUMPHUS LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE 2018

June 7th – 9th 2018 | Mesa, Arizona

The National Council on Student Development (NCSD) is pleased to announce the renaming of its Leadership Institute to the Walter G. Bumphus Leadership Institute.  “Having received my start of working with professional organizations in NCSD, I am humbled and honored by this. One of my greatest joys is investing in emerging leaders, so I am pleased that the NCSD leadership program will be renamed in recognition of my contributions to NCSD and to the community college sector.”

The Walter G. Bumphus Leadership Institute will be held June 7-9 2018 (Location – Mesa, Arizona).   The Walter G. Bumphus Leadership Institute is designed to nurture participants for career advancement in Student Development. Using the “Reclaiming the American Dream: Community Colleges and the Nation’s Future” as the foundation for the Institute, the Institute will provide an exciting opportunity for participants to share ideas, engage in critical discourse, and learn from each other while preparing to meet the challenges facing our profession.

A national review panel of student development leaders will select a maximum of 40 participants. Applicants will be required to respond to criteria designed to clarify readiness to assume increasingly responsible positions in student development. The primary goal of NCSD in conducting the Institute is to prepare individuals for senior leadership positions. Previous Institute participants have made career advances, and some are now Chief Student Development Officers themselves.Help us make the Leadership Institute a success by recommending prospective candidates who are among your brightest colleagues and/or colleagues you are mentoring and preparing for senior administrative positions in student services sverige-ed.com.
