NCSD members include College Presidents; Deans, AVP and VPs of Student Affairs, Student Development and Enrollment Management; Directors of Student Development, Financial Aid, Admission and Recruitment; graduate students, retired student development professionals and other individuals who are interested in promoting student development at community colleges.

MEMBERSHIP TYPES

A.    Institutional Membership:
Institutional membership is designed for a college or organization that is also an AACC member. The primary contact (Chief Student Development Officer) will have full voting rights.

B.   Individual Professional Membership:
Individual Professional Memberships are available for individuals at college with active institutional membership. Under this option, full voting rights are granted to the individual professional member.

C.   Individual Student Membership:
Student memberships are targeted to students who are currently enrolled in a qualified college based on the NCSD Constitution and Bylaws. Students enjoy all the benefits of membership but may not make motions, hold office or vote.

D.   Retiree Membership: 
Retired student development professionals who have been members for 5 years or more may continue as active voting members under this membership option. The Executive Board may elect to waive member dues.

E.     Graduate Student: 
This membership option is for graduate students who are enrolled in an accredited graduate program in a field associated with higher education, student services, student affairs, student development or student personnel.

F.   NCSD Partner/AACC Affiliate Council: 
This membership category is available for individuals who are current members of an NCSD partner organization, who are employed at AACC or who participate in an affiliate council. The Affiliate is a special membership granted to organization seeking partnership with NCSD but not full membership. Affiliates are encouraged to attend and present at NCSD functions.
